THE CHASE IS ON
1.The hound attacked Montag because it was aware of what Montag had done to Beatty and it reacted to him and believed he had done something wrong.
2. Montag reacted to the hound by throwing a flamethrower at Beatty and he killed the non-living thing.
3. Montag realized Beatty actually wanted to die because he did nothing while Montag torched Beatty with a flamethrower.
4. Montag began to run he had no idea of where to go but decided to go to Faber's but first he went to a gas station where he cleaned himself up.
5. When Montag decided to cross the street he didn't look both ways before doing so and because of that a car almost ran him over after that a car began to chase him.
